Ocean Breeze Records is proud to present the long awaited release of "Island Ways" featuring those crazy dj's Tama and Guy from "Island Kine Radio" Las Vegas' most popular Hawaiian Radio Show as well as featuring the Island Kine Band.
The original songs cowritten and produced by Steven Ventic of Ocean Breeze Records are a tribute to our island home.
"Although we live on the mainland, we aspire to keep the aloha spirit alive through our music." The debut songs "Hawaiian Soul" and "Hot Hawaiian Jams" were immediately added to Oahu's leading contemporary island music station (98.5 Island Rhythms).
Followup performances included an OFF THE HOOK!!! CD release party presented by Island Rhythms at the famous
Pier Bar featuring Kevin Puahi, BET, Na Wai, Na Kane Nui, Koauka, One Groove, and closing the night with a bang the ever popular KAPENA.
Of course the Island Kine Band rocked the house with support from Genoi, and PJ Kalawa on loan to us from Pu'ukapu one the best Hawaiian bands in Las Vegas.
We started the next day with a live performance with Perry and Price and moved on to the experience of a lifetime, a performance at the MAKAHA BASH 2000 at the Aloha Stadium.
What a treat it was for us to perform with all of our musical heroes(Hapa, Darrell Labrado, Ekolu, Imua, Darlene Ahuna, Ka'au Crater Boys, Robi, and of course Moon, John and Jerome!!!!!
After a short trip home to Vegas we returned as a featured performer at the 98.5 Island Rhythms Listener Appreciation and Dragon Boat Festival at Ala Beach Park.
The best in island reggae were performing and we rocked to a captive audience of 15,000 plus.
